Brad passed on Monday April 6th 2009 of heart failure.
A memorial service for Brad was held at 2 p.m. April 19th 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington.

Hastings' mother, Connie, said his body has been donated to the Willed Body Program at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
